With more than 10 years experience in the
professional graphics world and a lifetime of doodling, Cassio
is versed in a variety of digital and traditional media, effectively
combining
the two
to create innovative and
captivating visual solutions. During the last 11 years as
a medical illustrator, he has tackled a variety of medical
subject
matter
from basic
anatomy to advanced pathology and disease pathways, to patient
situation and editorial illustration. His primary work consists
of 2-dimensional still images, although he has also gravitated towards
animation and interactive design, finding a
natural
connection
in the ability to present
information both in and out of sequence.
Cassio is a full-time senior medical illustrator
at the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) located in downtown Chicago, Illinois. (Read more about his role
at JAMA in his Profile.)
Although he is quite busy (!), Cassio is always eager to entertain
ideas for collaborative projects, especially those that are cross-discipline.
(Things like children's
book illustration, and concept art, and character and creature
design, spring to mind!).
He is available for freelance work and consultation on
a time-available basis. If

his availability and in obtaining estimates, contact him here.
